Your Guide to Heatmaps

Heatmaps are now available in your People-Based Email (PBE) reporting dashboard.

Our Heatmaps show exactly where your audience is clicking and how each link is performing, giving you a clear view of how real people are engaging with your emails. 


How To Find It:

Step 1: 

In Connect, navigate to the Reports tab.  Then, click Dashboards

Step 2: 

Click into your PBE Dashboard.

Scroll down to the PBE Links section of the dashboard.

Step 4:

First, you'll see the Link Percentage table, which categorizes your reporting by: 

  • Product ID
  • Link ID (Each link is assigned a number)
    • Note: The Link ID will correlate directly to the number on your heatmap. 
  • Link %
  • URL

Step 5: 

Below that, you will find the PBE Heatmap table. This categorizes your reporting by: 

  • Client
  • Order ID
  • Product ID 
  • Heatmap

Step 6:

To the left of your Heatmap, you’ll see a column labeled, “View Enlarged Heatmap”. Press the “Click to View” link to open it in full-screen.

Step 7: 

Each link will be represented by a colored circle. Each color directly correlates to the amount of clicks received.

For example: 

  • Red circle = Highest performing link
  • Clear circle with black border = Lowest performing link

Note: The numbers on your Heatmap correlate directly to the Link ID in your link percentage table.


How to Print/Export Your Heatmap Data:

Step 1a: 

The Quick Download button lets you export data from your dashboard in Excel, PDF or PPT format.

Step 1b: 

You can also download a full PDF of the dashboard by clicking Build PDF Report.

Step 2: 

To export data from a specific table in the, hover your mouse over the table.

This brings up additional actions (three dots) in the top right corner, which gives you the option to download data for that table only.

Step 3:

Each option provides flexibility. For instance, CSV or Excel files will export the raw data. 

Widgets exported as an image are ready to be used in a deck or client presentation.
