How to Use the Include/Exclude Feature

A step-by-step guide to building an exclusion audience in Connect.

One of the great features of Connect is the ability to exclude data points in order to build an exclusion audience.

For example, let’s say we want to target individuals who make a household income of $65k to $175K who do NOT own a home. In order to build this audience, you need only to
follow these simple steps: 

1. Build your audience with all the data selects needed, including the ones you want to exclude.

2. In the box of the data you want to exclude you will see an icon of a person next to a minus sign. If you hover your mouse over it, it will say Exclude. Click that and the icon will turn green.

3. Once you see the icon has turned green, you’ll know the selected data points will be excluded.
